Computer Screen or Browser Keeps Freezing

After entering a PIN to access the Register or Order Tracker page in Wash-Dry-Fold POS, you might sometimes encounter a frozen screen on your computer or an unresponsive browser where no action can be taken and no buttons are responding.


This may be due to a known issue with Google Chrome's "Warn you if a password was compromised in a data breach" feature, which is incorrectly triggering when entering certain PINs. Chrome is supposed to show a popup warning with this setting but sometimes it does not appear and instead simply freezes the browser.


Since we are only entering a PIN to access an internal page of the software and not actually signing into a website, we recommend turning this feature off in the Google Chrome browser. Here's how to do that:


  1. Open Google Chrome on your POS system computer
  2. Click the three vertical dots in the top right corner of the screen
  3. Go to Settings
  4. Go to Privacy and Security
  5. Turn off the "Warn you if a password was compromised in a data breach" option
