Tax Rates

Wash-Dry-Fold POS offers a flexible way to manage sales tax by allowing you to configure up to three different tax rates for your store. These can be tailored to your specific needs—whether that’s separating state, county, and city taxes or applying a fee to specific payment methods like credit card transactions.

Setting Tax Rates

To get started:

  1. Go to the Store Settings page.
  2. Click on the Tax Rates tab.
  3. In the Tax Rates section, you’ll see fields for Tax, Tax 2, and Tax 3.
  4. Enter the desired percentages in each field.
  5. Click Save to apply your changes.

You can also rename each tax rate to match its purpose (for example, "State Tax" or "Credit Card Fee") by clicking on the tax label field next to the percentage input.


Applying Taxes to Inventory Items

Once your tax rates are set, you can apply them to specific items on the Inventory page:

  1. Go to the Inventory page.
  2. Select the item you want to edit.
  3. In the item’s settings, check the boxes for Tax 1, Tax 2, or Tax 3, depending on which rates apply.

This allows you to selectively apply taxes to retail products, laundry services, or any custom items based on your business’s needs.

By combining multiple tax rates and selective application, Wash-Dry-Fold POS gives you a powerful toolset for staying compliant with tax requirements while streamlining your checkout process.
