The Open Drawer Report in Wash-Dry-Fold POS tracks every time the cash drawer is opened, giving store owners and managers an extra level of visibility and accountability.

What It Tracks:

This report records each instance the drawer is opened using:

• The “Open Drawer” button on the Register screen
• A Cash Payout
• Open/Close Shift actions

Extra Detail (Optional):

If your store has enabled the “Require Reason for Opening Cash Drawer” setting in Store Settings, then:

• Employees are prompted to enter a reason when manually opening the drawer
• Those reasons will appear in the report for added context

Why It’s Helpful:

• Helps prevent unauthorized or excessive drawer openings
• Adds a layer of accountability during shift changes or cash handling
• Useful for reconciling discrepancies during audits

Pro Tip:

Encourage employees to be descriptive and accurate when entering reasons. The more specific, the easier it is to identify trends or concerns.
