Machine Starts

The Machine Starts Report in Wash-Dry-Fold POS gives you a clear view of how much money is being spent on washers and dryers during order processing. It’s especially useful for keeping track of machine usage and ensuring accountability with your attendants.

What It Shows:

This report displays the total dollar value of machine starts triggered through the Order Tracker within a selected date range.

Grouping Options:

You can group the report by either:

• Order: Shows the machine start total alongside the total order value, helping you compare costs versus revenue for each order.
• Employee: Helps track which team members are starting which machines and how much money is being spent during their shifts.

Advanced Filtering:

• Group by Order supports machine starts that happened outside of the selected date range. (Helpful for large orders spanning multiple days.)
• To limit the report to starts only within your selected date range, enable the "Only show starts within selected date range" checkbox.

Interactive Features:

• When you hover over an entry, the row will highlight in blue.
• Click on the highlighted entry to view the individual machine starts tied to that specific order or employee.

Use Cases:

• Compare machine cost vs. revenue per order.
• Monitor employee use of washers/dryers for accountability.
• Track machine activity across shifts or locations.
• Audit operational efficiency in your store.
